Technical/Functional Project Manager



Fintrax are seeking a Technical/Functional Project Manager, in order to strengthen our presence in Latin America and to enhance the level of service offered to our customers.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain international experience in a fast growing, highly successful group of companies.



Main Duties and Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

-Attending business and/or technical meetings and present our solutions and services to our prospects and customers

-Analysing the customers’ requirements, transforming them into functional/technical specifications and defining the relevant deliveries

-Managing the projects and following the various steps from A-Z: development, delivery, QA, pilots and going live.

-Performing “after sale” follow-up and support



Principal Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate should:

-Have a minimum of two years experience as a technical/functional project manager in services related to payment systems, tills

-Have a very good knowledge of payment systems protocols (Visa, IPM...) and/or POS/tills payment applications and/or frontend/backend software

-Have Strong communication and presentation skills, be comfortable giving presentations and demonstrations to prospective clients, banks etc.

-Have the ability to manage all projects through to completion

-Be Hands-on, committed to work, responsible, autonomous and flexible

-Be Fluent in Spanish and English;
the knowledge of Portuguese while desirable is not essential
-Be willing to travel to other American and European countries

-Candidates should demonstrate their eligibility to work in Mexico

have a vacancy for a Junior Systems Engineer



Fintrax are seeking a Junior Systems Engineer to support its expanding Information Technology Department.



From our Head Office in Galway, Fintrax develops and hosts financial services applications used in over 20+ countries. This broad range role offers opportunities across many functions such as system design, QA, compliance, support and consultancy.



Role Responsibilities

Providing technical consulting, guidance and advice to international business partners and customers.

Using detailed protocol specifications, devise and execute comprehensive test plans and scripts.

Developing utility software, scripts and reports.

Compliance certification of new services with VISA, Mastercard and banking partners.

Providing systems support to developers and field engineers on new installations and product development.

Monitoring of activity across production servers.

Developing and execution of Disaster Recovery Plans.



Principal Skills

Possess a 'Systems Thinking' ability to understand complex interlinked systems

Be thorough, diligent and an independent thinker

Experience with Microsoft SQL Server/Reporting Services/ C# desirable

Knowledge of POS Terminals, APACS, ISO8583 protocols desirable but not essential



Requirements and Experience

IT, Engineering or Economics Degree

Background in development or quality assurance is desirable but not essential


Previous experience in Financial Services is desirable but not essential
